Liguria - Italy

Liguria is synonymous with nature, mountains, culture and entertainment; its meaning is yours to decide. It is in this rustic yet charming landscape that Sunseeker Italy lies. Located in the Porto Turistico of Lavagna, one of the biggest port for the yachting in Europe, the office is perfectly situated to welcome yacht owners arriving in the Ligurian sea.

The region of Liguria features impressive mountains and hillsides olive groves that overlook the Ligurian Sea. Its characteristic rocky coasts, sandy beaches and quiet coves make the area one of the most beautiful sections of the Mediterranean.

Our office is situated in the Gulf of Tigullio, enclosed by the promontories of Moneglia and Portofino – a gem in itself and one of the most beautiful places that either man or nature could create. The Gulf is a succession of extraordinary environmental beauties, beaches and little bays like the Baia di San Fruttusoso, Paraggi, Santa Margherita and Rapallo, as well as the famous Bay of Silent in Sestri Levante, where prosecco is aged in an underwater winery. The area is also famous for its architecture, with characteristic pastel-coloured buildings that cling to the rock face, which historically acted as a way for fishermen to recognise their homes from afar.

Our Riviera is lined with a number of charming attractions, some of which are classified as UNESCO world heritage sites due to their unique history and natural value. For example, the beautiful ‘Sanctuary of Cetaceans’ which attracts several species of sperm whale, rorquals and dolphins; the city of Genoa, a portal between land and sea as well as Cinque Terre, Portovenere and the gorgeous island of Palmaria.

The 18km of coast presents a true paradise, with the rocks just a short drop from the clear blue waters below and earthly scents that combine harmoniously with beautiful houses, creating a truly unique scene –and there is no better way to visit the Cinque Terre than by sea.

Scuba diving and snorkelling are fantastic ways to explore the underwater treasures that this wonderful marine heritage has on offer. Furthermore, many festivals, concerts, wine-trekking and other cultural events take place all over the region and are great opportunities to discover the fascinating local traditions, music, dance and the fantastic Italian cuisine.
