Athens to Santorini Yachting Itinerary

With close to 6,000 islands to explore, many of the beaches remain untouched and accessible only by boat. There are five main groups of islands, all unique in their charm, giving you endless possibilities for putting together a magical itinerary.

Whichever island group you decide to explore, your journey will likely begin from the Athens Marina in Faliro Bay, where the finest superyachts of the region are based. No matter which direction you venture from there, you will be sure to cruise through beautiful turquoise waters into stunning bays, witness breathtaking sunsets and enjoy exquisite food on your journey through Greek paradise.

Day 1 - Athens to Kea

Only an hour from Athens, Kea remains to be an island of extraordinary beauty and ancient landmarks, making it the perfect destination for any historical enthusiast. Nikolaos Bay is home to the 13thcentury port of Korissia where the remnants of the historic venetian town lie, along with a Sanctuary of Appollo. Along with its ancient heritage, Kea is known for its idyllic bays, ports and anchorages, so take a cruise through the beautiful haven of Poleis. To end your Kea experience head towards the small fishing village of Vourkari, where you can find a wealth of traditional taverns and local bars.

Day 2 - Kea to Syros

Cruise along to a landmark in Greek history and submerge yourself in an island that resembles the slow pace of life that Greece is traditionally renowned for. Feast on a lavish gourmet meal at the Onerio in Vaporia over a crisp glass of rose, before exploring ancient venetian buildings and Cycladic architecture.

Day 3 - Syros to Mykonos

Located only 18 nautical miles from the capital of the Cyclades, set sail across to the glamourous and exuberant island of Mykonos. Popularly known for its summer party atmosphere, you, can also enjoy a traditional Grecian feast at the Buddha Bar Beach in Ornos Bay, before making your way to one of the islands buzzing bars.

Day 4 - Mykonos to Paros

Set within the heart of the Aegaen Sea, cruise along the coast to the exclusive harbour of Paros for a morning of windsurfing at the well-known Golden Beach. As the afternoon looms, berth in the picturesque fishing harbour of Naoussa surrounded by a wealth of authentic restaurants and cafes, each representing traditional Grecian architecture.  

Day 5 - Paros to Naxos

Located just around the headland of Paros lies one of the biggest islands of the Cyclades. Naxos boasts an impressive mountainous landscape and breath-taking sandy beaches. Step ashore and explore the extraordinary Bazeos Castle in Naxos town, before winding down the road to enjoy the ancient Sanctuary of Demeter. 

Day 6 - Naxos to Ios

Positioned between Naxos and Santorini is the luxurious island of Ios. Famous for its active nightlife and blue sandy beaches, Ios exhibits a dynamic wealth of entertainment for anyone looking to have a good time.    

Day 7 - Ios to Santorini

To complete your overall Greek experience, Santorini is a must see. Berth in the port and take the tender ashore to discover the long-stretched sandy beaches with striking black pebbles and dark grey sands. Dine at the 1800-Floga in Oia to enjoy a sunset meal over the submerged volcano.
