SUNSEEKER SUCCESS AT 2022 MOTOR BOAT AWARDS

Sunseeker is delighted to announce yet another win for the 65 Sport Yacht in the Sport Cruisers over 45 feet category at the 2022 Motor Boat Awards. Hosted virtually by Motor Boat and Yachting magazine, the awards celebrate excellence in the marine industry.

Inspired by the latest designs in automotive, the 65 Sport Yacht re-defines excitement in leisure boating. The specially designed SkyHelm™ features twin bolstered seats set very low on either side of a carbon fibre central console and the instrumentation is courtesy of a state-of-the-art glass bridge plotter complete with retro chrome dials housing LED displays. The user experience is one of pure adrenaline, akin to driving a high-performance convertible supercar, with acceleration to match.

Andrea Frabetti, CEO at Sunseeker International, commented: “Once again our incredible 65 Sport Yacht has won a prestigious award, recognising not only the exceptional craftsmanship and design but the innovative on board solutions developed by our in-house experts at the Centre of Excellence for Design and Technology. This is a very proud achievement for the company and every team involved in the design and build of this spectacular new model.”

Hugo Andreae, Editor-in-Chief at Motor Boat & Yachting, commented: “Some Sports Bridge designs fall foul of trying to be all things to all people and never truly satisfying any of them, not this one. The Sunseeker 65 Sport Yacht lives up to its name with a kind of nimble handling and near 35 knot performance than belies its size and simply wouldn’t be possible on a full-blown flybridge, and thanks to that innovative Sky Helm™ with its supercar driving positions and lift-up helm pod, you can enjoy the experience to the full with the wind in your hair.”

Sunseeker also received two nominations for the Manhattan 55 in the Flybridge up to 60 feet and the Manhattan 68 in the Flybridge over 60 feet categories.

The 65 Sport Yacht also recently won the award for the Best Exterior Design in the 64’-80’ category at the World Yacht Trophies 2021 and the Innovative On-Board Design Solution award for its exceptional SkyHelm™ feature at the Boat Builder Awards 2021.
